Nancy Marie Hunt

Nancy Marie Hunt (Fridye) was born on August 25th, 1956 in Houston, Texas, to Charles “Sonny” E. Fridye and Lena I. Fridye (Collins). She went to be with the lord on February 2, 2018 after a long, hard-fought battle with illness. She was 61 years old. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Jack Andrew Hunt Jr., her mother Lena I. Fridye, her son Brian Hunt and wife Karen, her daughter Natalie Bullock and husband Mike, her three beautiful grandchildren Drew Bullock, Kinlie Bullock, and Emily Hunt. She is also survived by her two uncles who she was raised with, Charles Collins and wife Sharon, and Bill Collins and wife Beth, as well as numerous other family. She is preceded by her father Charles E. Fridye , her father in-law and mother in-law Jack Andrew Hunt Sr. and Imogene Wright Hunt, and also by a very special aunt, Inez Lenox. Nancy devoted her life to her family, especially her children. She was a member of the Reagan redcoats in high school. She often reflected on the good times that she had with them. She was involved in the Northwest National Little League, the PTO, and many other things that her children were interested in. She was a devoted member of St. Timothy’s UMC for over 20 years, and was involved in many committees, the gourmet club, and the UMW she was a member of the Linda Simpson Circle. Nancy worked with her husband Jack in the family business for years. She then started working as a child caregiver where she worked for over 10 years at various places. She loved working with children and taking care of them. Nancy enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Strait. She also enjoyed country western dancing. She loved to visit the casino and travel with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately called her NaNa. The family would like to give special thanks to the ICU nursing staff at CHI St. Lukes the Vintage for the exceptional care of her while she was sick. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9th at St. Stephens UMC in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral services following at 12:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery.
