Michael Edward Ossey

Mike Ossey was born on June 15, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Jane Ossey, and passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on August 30, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jane Ossey, brother Leonard Ossey, nephew Eddie Ossey, and childhood friend, Danny Baker. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie and husband Ernie Felan , Baytown, Texas, and his Son, Evan Ossey and girlfriend Sydney Everitt, La Porte, Texas. Ex-wives Etta Robbins and Lisa Ossey Stastny. Step-children, James and wife Brandy Hart, Joe and wife, Holly Hart, John and wife Joanna Hart, Keith Purifoy and girlfriend Courtney Mitchell, and Jesse and wife, Jamie Lee. Grandchildren Alexiz Engel, Alyza Felan, Ayden Ossey, Jackie, Jaxson and Jason Lee, Wesley and wife Bethany Hart, Kayla Browne, Brittany and husband David Villarreal, Brandon Hart, Kevin Hart, Ashley and husband Billy Thomason, Cassie Merian, Kayla Hart, Courtney and husband Kevin Phillips, Adrianna Felan, Little Ernie Felan, numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his Sisters, Carol Mosley, Kay Brown, Arlene Dazzo, Barbara Martini and Brother, Joseph Ossey. Mike will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends as “Mike F’n Ossey”. This was something he would make sure to remind us of all the time. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. As a young man he played in the rock bands “Stephanie” and “Little Rock” with many of his friends from his teen years. None of us will ever be able to hear a John Cougar Mellencamp song without thinking of Mike. He went on to work in the export crating business as a supervisor for most of his adult life. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street in Houston, Texas. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055. A memorial celebration will be held on September 6 at 3 pm at Fuzion’s Bar, 6915 Spenser Hwy, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Serving as pallbearers are Juan Corona, Ernie Felan, James Hart, Joe Hart, John Hart and Jesse Lee.
