John Edward Anderson

John Edward Anderson, 69, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2021. John was born to Adeline (Wisland) and John (Jack) Callahan in Cleveland, OH on August 6, 1951. He grew up in Ryder, ND after Adeline married Winston Anderson. John graduated from Ryder High School in Ryder, ND in 1969, and attended Minot State College in Minot, ND where he met and married his first wife, Wanda. They had two children, Aaron and Kristi. After their divorce, John moved to Kenmare, ND where he met and married Jonette after a whirlwind courtship of less than five months. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2020. As Jonette wanted to fulfill a lifelong dream and become an attorney, in 1984 they moved to Houston, TX, where she attended law school and John continued his career in sales. Over the years, John pursued a sales career in liquor and in trucks, most recently Mack trucks. He loved his job and all of the people that he met and served. He considered his customers his friends and treated them accordingly. John was a wonderful and witty caregiver who nursed Jonette through her chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the past five years. He made sure that she knew that she was loved constantly and tried to make her laugh every single day. John is survived by his wife, Jonette S. Anderson, of Houston; his sister, Vicki Anderson, of Eagan, MN; his daughter, Kristi (Dustin) Conrad, of Ohio; his son, Aaron Anderson, of Washington; his granddaughter, Kitana Anderson, of Oregon; his brother-in-law, Tim Learned, of North Dakoda; several nieces and nephews; several cousins; and many, many friends. John was preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Callahan; by his parents, Adeline and Winston Anderson; and by his sister, Colleen Learned.
