Ann Benay Wettle

Ann Benay Wettle, born on January 29th 1976 in Bryan Texas, to Arthur Hults and Lani Anderson, passed away on Sunday, May 20th 2024, in Brisbane Australia. She is survived by her doting husband Magnus, loving daughter Mya, parents Lani & Jerry Anderson, Arthur and Alicen Hults, grandmother Agene Eblen, siblings Teyah Hind, Josi Twight, Henry Hults, Bryce Hults, and Aidan Hults. In addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from around the world. Although Benay’s time in this world was much too short she still managed to make an impact on all of those who knew her. The best way to demonstrate this is to share some of the memories that have been shared since her passing. “She was one of my best friends and still till this day I tell people about her and how I had met her when we were young girls. She was and is wonderful, fun, smart, beautiful and the most fascinating person.” “Benay was the first person on the planet I came out to. I knew I could come to her. She was such a special friend.” “She was a huge part of our early lives, shaping us into who we are now.” “I will always remember her infectious laugh and sassy spirit.” “I remember the day Benay introduced me to the Violent Femmes on the way home from school.” “Benay was a wonderful person and a great coach who taught me loads!” “Truly a face & smile that could light up ANY room. So beautiful on the outside but SO beautiful on the inside. “ “Have always watched on and thought Benay was such an impressive role model.” “First time I met her we had a dress up party at our house and I told Magnus dressed up as pirate, then new colleague of my then partner now husband, what a vision his girlfriend was and he looked me straight in the eye with heartfelt pride and said: "She is my wife. “Both visited us, too, when Benay navigated her pregnancy and we both were utterly mesmerized by the magic unfolding within us as pregnant women when Mya moved while Benay had allowed me to gently rest my hand on her beautiful pregnant shape. Curious and excited I remember Benay, too. And oh so courageous She has always been an exceptional beacon of can-do attitude, drive, passion, laughter and such sharp intellect and such a dedicated visionary realizing what many people live as dreams with.” “Benay was my coach when I moved to Bali, she was formation in the content I still use today. So grateful for the impact she had on my life.” “She added so much to so many lives and was so beautiful and joyous. The time i spent being part of her coaching group was one of the best things i ever did.” “The most joyous, honest, energetic, playful, heart-open, curious, self-inquiring person. I am only where I am today because of Benay. She made me push my boundaries and believe in myself like no other person, and for that, I will always be thankful.” “Benay touch everyone's heart she met instantly. A very warm living soul that we are all so privileged to have had in our lives.” “I always told Benay she was Australia’s Julia Roberts, because of her beautiful smile and gentle nature. It just shone from her like a beacon.” A memorial will be held June 22, 2024 at 6pm in Friendswood Texas.
